Stall Holder FAQs

We answer your stallholder questions here.

Hopefully, we have anticipated your every need? Maybe not - but check us out below and contact us here, if there is not an answer for your question already here.

The Mirboo North Market is held in the Baromi Park, which is right in the centre of Mirboo North township, right on the main street, called Ridgway. You can access the map and directions here.

It is held on the last Saturday of each month. Except for December. There is no market in December.

Sometimes, that means the market is on the 5th Saturday of the month. Check your calendars. You can access a list of Market dates for 2026 here.

In terms of the time - it runs from 8:30 am to 1 pm. As stall holders, you bump from 7 am, but there is no trading until 8:30 am. We all pack up at 1 pm and are gone by 1:45 pm.

As a general rule and policy, we do not accept early leaving by stallholders. The market runs for a specified period and all stallholders sign up to support the market when they pay their fee. Having people leave in the middle of a market is pretty much agreed by all parties as "not a good look" and we discourage it.<./p>

That said, we know there are unavoidable situations where leaving early needs to be supported by us. We will handle emergency situations on a case-by-case basis at any market, but if you have a seriously good reason to leave early, here's the best way to make it fair and equitable for all of us:

  • Firstly, as soon as you know, email Karen Price as the Coordinator to let her know your issue.

  • If your site allocated is already close to an exit, then you will be informed of the agreement to leave, subject to the specific terms below.

  • If your site is not close to an exit or represents a risk profile to stallholders and the public the Coordinators deem unacceptable, then, within reasonable bounds, the coordinators will then site you closer to an exit so that you may leave without unduly disturbing other stallholders or creating undue risk to the public. You accept that this is a cost of leaving early.

  • Specific terms of any early-leaving agreement:

    1. You will not be permitted to cross the market precinct in your vehicle without the presence and assistance of one of our Market volunteers. They will decide the route your vehicle should take and, if prudent, provide a walking escort for you, until you are safely out of the market precinct.

    2. If you leave before the volunteer arrives, or fail to heed the reasonable directions of our volunteers, you recognise and agree this action will result in your suspension from the market for a period of time (minimum two markets) to be decided by the Coordinators.

We welcome applications from stallholders. Until our new market management platform goes live, you can apply using an email to the Coordinator, Karen Price. You will be asked to sign up to our terms and conditions and code of practice. You will also need public liability insurance evidence and also to provide us with other documentation relating to your business, if you sell food or alcohol.

We do not accept cash or bank transfer for payments; we use Stripe to handle our online payments. If you have issues with any of these aspects, please alert us to this in the email and we will review with you.

Finally, please give us as much information as possible. We need stall photos to assess any issues we may have in siting you and we need product photos to assess how close to wares from other stalls your offerings may be.

We reserve the right to optimise the number and type of stalls present at each and every market, to ensure the market remains attractive and relevant to the community.

We view the completeness of your expression of interest as a first test of your attitude to our market.

As at 8 June 2025 the stall fees (quoted as INC GST) are as follows:

    • 3m x3m stall is $39.00
    • 6m x3m stall is $61.00
    • 9m x 3m stall is $88.00
    • 12m x 3m stalls and up by discussion and agreement

We DO NOT on-sell or divulge your personal data unless required to by law or unless it is for legitimate business needs and operations and we have your explicit or implicit permission.
